Any thoughts as to the best 2 stroke oil to use in the 582. Local motorcycle shop has straight mineral, mineral / synthetic mix, and straight synthetic. They suggested I found out what most other people used.

Pennzoil for "AIR" cooled engines is widely used in the 582 and recommended 

by many...

I have had very good results with Pennzoil in two strokes.

Thanks for the recommendation to use Pennzoil, I have not seen it in the UK, so I will make enquiries, does anyone know if its mineral based or synthetic?

I order my oil from this web site.  It's normally cheaper and they deliver 

fast.  Look under the aviation oils and you will find the Pennzoil air 

cooled.  There is also a document in  there that shows testing results on 

the Rotax engine.  It's located at the bottom of the page for Pennzoil air 

cooled oil.  Don't know how it would be getting the oil shipped to the UK. 

You might go to the Pennzoil web site to find locations in the UK.

    I haven't ordered any lately but their price (including shipping) used 

to be better than any thing else we could find.  The Rich Man used to order 

his Helo oil from there.  In order to see the shipping price, you have to 

follow through with the on line order to the end.  You get a chance to see 

the total cost before you actually "send" the order request (I think??).

I think O'Reillys have some wisconsin stores now and they stock it in some

of the midwestern warehouses and will ship to any store outside your regular

warehouse supplier, but may take 1 to 2 days more.  Priced at around $30.
