Hi Everyone

Today I had the privilege to have my 601XL of being blessed with an airworthiness certificate. Only issues found were safety wires not tight enough on the propeller bolts and nuts that had too few threads showing. Both were corrected on the spot. Issues found to correct before flying were shorten some cotter pins and to add more zip ties to a bundle of wires leading to the tail of the aircraft and radius the edge of my trim tab.

I felt he was very through.

He did mention the NTSB action and stated he felt they were after the LSA 601XL. He asked several times about the tensions on my cables and cautioned me check them often

I am one happy camper right now!

Very good news indeed. This a significant milestone in the journey. Good luck and smooth air .... have fun tweaking the engine and assorted bells and whistles during Phase 1.

Congratuations! I'm sure those of us still building and concerned about the
inspection are doubly happy to hear of your success. Was the inspection done
by someone from the FAA, or by a DAR?

My inspection was done by a DAR. I felt he was through with the inspection, and very positive about the plane in general. He stated that he felt the plane (design) was a solid design, well thought out for the mission it was intended for.
