Are those little rectangular trim tab meters that come with the kit worth installing...?

I am starting to work on my panel, and am thinking of leaving these off.

Anybody who's left them off and later wished they' had put them in...?

Anybody who's installed them and has then found that they're not useful...?

Thanks,

- Pat

Hi Pat,

I have found the indicator for elevator trim very useful. It allows
you to set the trim for takeoff without turning completely around in
the seat to see where the trim tab is currently positioned. After a
full flap landing, it takes a considerable change to get ready for takeoff.

I don't have aileron trim on the plane I am currently flying. I
suspect you could see the aileron trim tab from the pilot's seat
easily enough that the indicator for that would be excess
baggage. Also, I don't think you will need to make so many large
changes to the aileron trim.

Pat-
Never had one on any other plane I've flown. Simpler wiring.

Pat,

I agree with Paul. I have both, but use visual to confirm aileron trim tab
position. In flight I use very little aileron trim.
