At 3:58 this afternoon I set the final rivet in a nut plate in the fuselage root fairing mount....It was a great feeling especially since I never had to drill out a bad one!!! . Those from the Yahoo group will recall that as my moniker...Rick Sked

They get better but the action you = use is pull in and forward on the handle and that brings the back one in = too. The seals work REAL well so for us northerners it's nice that = they're tight.

Sorry Rick, but I hate to tell you…….I said the same thing about 15 months ago when I thought I did my last rivet. Since then, I have lost count as to how many I have added. To tell you the truth, I miss that part and I am currently trying to talk my wife into letting me build another airplane, a Zenith 750 this time. So far, her answer has been NEVER…..
But since you are keeping track, how many “good” rivets have you drilled out. I started on the Yahoo group and it seems like that was just yesterday.

Not counting the SB's I'd bet it is less than 20..Since the paint is done and it has been assembled once there can't be any more left. These nut plates are the ones you leave off until the support is riveted to the fuselage....Mel Asberry is coming in Monday for the Air worthiness Inspection...Rick Sked
