After searching Archives and Internet I still don't know how to make my POH (for 601XL with a Corvair Engine) what has to be included what format I'm am totally at a loss on this any help or suggestions on this appreciated. David Coberly  [quote][b]

There is no clear cut format required for a POH for an amateur built  

airplane in the U.S. I found a POH somewhere on the web for a 601HD.  

It was basically formatted the same as the POH for a Cessna 172. I  

modified it for my 601XL with a Subaru engine. I have posted a copy of  

the Word file Here:

You can download this file and modify it for your airplane if you want.

David,

 

 I made a POH for my airplane (601XL with a Corvair engine).  It is a compilation of a lot of different POHs, but a WHOLE lot simpler than your typical certified airplane POH.  Not a lot of CYA stuff.  I have it on WordPerfect formatted to print landscape on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and cut down to around 5" x 7" to better fit in the airplane.  There are 23 pages in all.  It is not totally complete. Since I have not flown off the 40-hour test period, it doesn't have all the numbers filled in.  I could make a pdf if you would like to review it.

 

 The three view drawings and weight & balance pages are separate documents that I could also reproduce as pdfs.

Here it is.? I've noticed that I have changed some of the checklists and not updated the POH.? That is something you will want to customize for your airplane anyway.? Use at your own discretion and all that stuff.? Let me know if you have any suggestions that could improve it or if you have any questions.
