Last evening I send the August Lightning Newsletter, Issue 2-8, to both Pete and Jim for them to post on the respective web sites, so sometime today you will probably be able to read / download it. Of course the main feature is the photo coverage of the Lightning presence at Oshkosh, but you should find the other sections interesting as well. On my way to Oshkosh I stopped by Shelbyville and have included the latest info from the guys there. The other "feature" is from Bill Browns and covers his autopilot installation and efforts to improve its performance - good stuff. Below are the addresses of each web site:

As always, I appreciate any and all feedback and suggestions. Remember this is your newsletter and it depends on all of you to keep it informative. So don't hesitate to send me articles, photos, etc. I have already started working on the September issue, but certainly need more ammo for it to be able to hit the target. And don't hesitate to share it with your fellow flying buddies and EAA chapters. Make extra copies to take to EAA chapter meetings or to just leave laying around your local airport for others to find and read. It is inexpensive advertising for the Lightning and will help spread the word on this great airplane.

Thanks Buz again for the hard work. I know that you had a lot going while at Oshkosh and to put the newsletter together this quickly after getting home took some real effort, thanks.
I will post it on my site tonight.

FYI, I just tried the Arion site and there is a link for the August newsletter but it is broken.
