Guys, anyone out there have a power cable to fit a Garmin 496? Bought one on Ebay but unfortunately the end which plugs into the GPS looks like it has been stepped on! It was also without a operators manual. Any help would be appreciated.

I have an extra 117 v power cable that I can send you for the Garmin
496.

Doug, I have a power cable. But if you are going to connect the data cable make sure you get a data cable.

Kergg, the damaged "power cable" has a cig. type power plug with a speaker built into it on one end and a very squashed 90 degree male plug in on the other. I basically need something to power up the unit in the aircraft. I thought about going to a good elec shop and matching up the damaged plug but unfortunately there is not enough left of it to ID.

Doug,
I also have an extra one of those very unusual looking 12-volt
adaptors with the in-line speaker that I never use with my 496. Will
send you both. When I sold my 396, the buyer did not need power
adaptors, so I have several as extras that I will never use. No need
to pay me for them. Will send them tomorrow.
