Don Pearsall just let me know that he has posted my 1st flight photos
on Sportflight, under First Flights. I had submitted them to him, then
added a retouched (Photoshop) version of the liftoff shot. That one is
huge! (I was having fun making the plane "move" by using the bottom
cursor, and supplying my own "airplane sounds" ...Jabiru, that is...you
Rotax guys have another sound. : ) )
I was lamenting the fact that when I shot the liftoff, the ground-level
wind indicator was right in the way of the rear fuselage, so I called
on my experiences with Photoshop, and took out the offending sock and
pole. I couldn't recall how to decrease the size of the file so sent it
out as a JPEG file of 328 KB. The others are smaller, and sent out as
Kodak EasyShare files of about 31 KB, although these numbers are not
reflected as such on the Sportflight site. If anybody knows how to make
a smaller file from a JPEG, let me know. I tried saving as a PICT, and
a TIFF, but the size did not apparently change.

That's what I was thinking too, Mike...maybe others fly their own 1st
flights, and don't have a cameraperson standing by. Whatever the
reason, there should be more than what I saw there.

We have to be short some pictures, guys. The first flight photos
listed before Lynn's are mine--from 2004! Surely others have flown
for the first time between then and now...
