I am currently looking for the airbox and carb warming horns that will mount to the carb on the M14P. I am looking for a 2nd Yak 55M and in my search I have noticed that several aircraft no longer have the horns and one doesn't even have the box. This may be ok in dry climates and summer only flying C but in my line of work for spring and fall cross country flying for shows C it is a must. I have experience carb ice in my 55M before and it is no fun! Since I have made it a rule to install the warming horns for x-ctry flights that time of year I have yet to have a repeat incident.
If there isn't any available out there for the 55 C or does anyone know if a 52's carb heat box can be adapted with out too much sheet metal work on the 55's cowl?
