Someone asked me a question; what the difference is between a 3300 and a 3300A? I was not sure. Is it the Hydraulic lifters?

Hi Jim,
As far as I know they are all 3300A's. There is a derated 3300L model listed but I've never seen one of those. The factory docos talk about 3300 and 3300A but I think that is just lack of precision, I've not been able to find the two designations in any context which suggests they are different. There are hydraulic and solid lifter types around my local strip and they are all 33A serial numbers.
