My current approach is as follows:



1 amp fuse - reverse polarity protection diodes - transorb and 4700uF

capacitor across power/GND inside the diodes. Isolating DC-DC convertor (e.g

TRACO TEL 3-2011) which gives 5V out from 10-30V in - MCP1700 low dropout

linear regulator to get 3.3V from the 5V rail (very low power required at
