If you haven't heard, all paper airman certificates will expire on March 31, 2010. All pilots need to get a replacement plastic one (something stupid about drug enforcement cooperation, no doubt involving a lobbyist for the company making the counterfeit resistant cards). The fee is $2, unless you still have your SSN as your certificate number, in which case the replacement is free.
You can apply for the replacement online:

Loosely connected to this is a rule that many forget or never knew:
If you don't do an official address change with the FAA within 30 days of moving, your airman certificate is no longer valid. Upon doing the required address change, it is then valid again, with no need to apply for a new one or any testing other than normal currency requirements.
