As I was riveting my QB wing skin, my well meaning neighbor helped me buck some rivets. When I do it myself I keep rags on the lower inside skin in case the bucking bar gets dropped, but unfortunately, the rags didn't get moved enough and sure enough, we ended up with a couple of skin "pimples" on the upper outer skin surface.
Is there a prescribed way to deal with said pimples?
I thought of maybe trying a spring punch and then superfil, but haven't tried that yet.
Thanks in advance.

Tell the neighbor thanks but no thanks..... Pop them back in with a body hammer and fill them prior to paint....

I'm sure there are better methods but I got every little bump and wave out of my skins by pushing the other end of a sharpie against the aluminum. Use the edge of the back of the marker (not a fine point). It is just soft enough plastic to work with the aluminum. Don't hammer on the skin unless you back it up with a lead shot bag or similar. If you back up the skin with something hard you will thin the aluminum and oil-can it. I think most people just make sure it is an innee and not an outee and fill it in before painting with filler.

Kent White of OSH Metalworking Class fame has a technique for shrinking the material. It would be considered advanced by some RV-10 builders. There is a hammering technique to limit the additional stretch of material that is worthy of planishing before resorting to weight adding body fillers.
Wetsuit material laid inside the work area is a great line of defense for natural human occurances.

If you are interested in pursuing this further Kent has a DVD at https://www.tinmantech.com/html/vid_basic_damage_repair_alu.php. Not all of the techniques are appropriate for working with2024 aluminum C but some work very well.
