I have been studying my CH750 Plans and I am soooooo pumped about finally starting to scratch build it. I have watched Doug at QSP putting their 750 kit together (oh and for you guys who don’t know they are having a open house/rudder workshop/BBQ get together this weekend!!!) and I must say what a improvement to the 701. I wish I could afford the kit but alas with my wife in medical school becoming a doctor I have to build from scratch. I love building from scratch so no big deal. Anyone else scratch building a 750?

David,
Count me in, I purchased the first retail set of 750 plans, the day became available. I originally planed on finishing my 701 before starting the 750, but as things stand, I am making parts for both of them at the same time.

Hi David,
I just visited with Mike Maury, who is scratch building his 750 in Iowa.
He's on scanman55(at)partnercom.net
and I don't know if he's onto the Matronics page yet. I'm sure he'd be
pleased to hear from you and
share the building experience.

Hi Bob
I am a 601/650 builder in NS. Love the 750 and think it has got to be the best Zenith design yet. The problems encountered with the 601xl have me waiting anxiously for a fix...if there is even a problem...sitting on the fence at any rate. Have quite a bit built and invested.
Might just start slowly on the 750 in the meantime.
Keep in touch

Ron,
I most certainly will, and if there is anything I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask.
You are also correct regarding the 750, it is an excellent design, and aircraft. I expect that for years to come, it will have a great impact on the home builder, and a reputation that will rival that of the 701.
For builders like yourself, I am very troubled with the problems that plague the 601xl platform. Sad to see all the time and money involved, without even knowing if a resolution, satisfactory to all, will ever come about.
regards
Bob
