I have seen a W10 for sale in the Uk ere they claim 5 gallons an hour at 110 knots, this seems slow for a cruise speed. What kind of speeds should you expect with a O 300 d powered W10 ?
Thanks

Sounds like they are telling you the economy cruise setting...
Do you know of any other 2 place homebuilt that gives you 110 knots
(126.5mph) and sips only 5 gal/hr??

Doesn't sound like cruise speed... that's econo speed...
Start chugging 8 gals an hour and you'll find the cruise speed...

FWIW, I owned two of them with 0-300D Continental engines. Both airplanes would comfortably travel over 180 mph (at) less than 8 gph. If you made them go faster, the fuel burn went up too.
