Kolbers,
I have found a lot of info on the Rotax 277 on the web, but I am missing
some operating limitations. I could use some help with the following:
Max EGT
Max CHT
Max continuous RPM
Jack B. Hart FF004
Winchester, IN
do not archive

Couldn't find any old paperwork, but since I spent about 750 hours in front of one on the Hummer, here's what I remember: Maxair gave me a prop that allowed it to turn 6200 max and the only maintenance I ever gave it was one set of rings, 2 sets of points, and a set of crank seals. Max CHT was around 350, and max EGT was 1150. It was the version with the fan, but I also ran it without the fan and it did ok. I am not saying those were the limits, only that mine worked trouble free at those settings. If you have one, let me know and I'll send you a bunch of trivia on how to make it mostly trouble free (that I still remember) off list.
If you are interested, I can send you instructions on how to turn the single ignition system into true dual ignition, but you'll have to machine the head for the second plug.
