Mike, all, a little late to help with your engine, but it might save someone else some grief. Snap On Tools has torque adapters like the one pictured. They're available in metric sizes of 10, 13, 15, and 18 mm. Like all Snap On stuff they're pricey, $30 for the 13mm. On the other hand a 3300 lists for $16,500. Cheap when you consider what can go wrong. Snap on makes them so it's 2" (50.8 mm) between centers and includes formulas for calculating corrections in torque readings when the adapter is used in line with the torque wrench.

Also called a “Crows-foot” wrench if ordering from other places.

The correct size is 7/16" C not 13 mm.

Nick, this is a crow foot wrench, I did a search for a box end crow foot and found only one source, available only in a set and the drive was wrong for using a torque wrench with them. If you go to Sears and ask for a crow foot this is what you get, and as Mike experienced they don't work out too well. The first picture I posted is the torque adapter I bought to torque the heads on my Shovelhead Harley about 15 years ago. Always gives a correct reading and never rounded a head bolt. Do what you wish, it's a free country, but I buy tools as good as the project. Saves money and time in the long run to do the job right the first time.

In this case it's loosening and torqueing cylinder, or in my case, head bolts.

Nick, this is a crow foot wrench, I did a search for a box end crow foot and found only one source, available only in a set and the drive was wrong for using a torque wrench with them. If you go to Sears and ask for a crow foot this is what you get, and as Mike experienced they don't work out too well. The first picture I posted is the torque adapter I bought to torque the heads on my Shovelhead Harley about 15 years ago. Always gives a correct reading and never rounded a head bolt. Do what you wish, it's a free country, but I buy tools as good as the project. Saves money and time in the long run to do the job right the first time.

Mike, all, a little late to help with your engine, but it might save someone else some grief. Snap On Tools has torque adapters like the one pictured. They're available in metric sizes of 10, 13, 15, and 18 mm. Like all Snap On stuff they're pricey, $30 for the 13mm. On the other hand a 3300 lists for $16,500. Cheap when you consider what can go wrong. Snap on makes them so it's 2" (50.8 mm) between centers and includes formulas for calculating corrections in torque readings when the adapter is used in line with the torque wrench.
