I just acquired a fiber optic scope for looking inside things.
I have a 912UL still in the box sitting in my garage for 8 years. I want
to look inside of it.
Any suggestions on where to look (for rust, etc)?
What are good access places to insert the fiber optic cable? How about
the oil banjo bolt hole? Any others?
Ideas appreciated,
Clem

If you pull the reduction drive off, you can see quite a bit through the
vent. The hole is about 1/2" dia. Mine was 8 years old and still in the box.
It appears to be OK. I will find out soon. I did put about a quart of oil in
it and physically roll it over to get the lifter faces. That was the area of
greatest concern to me.
