Sunday, 11/1/09, 11:00 AM N443DM took the air for the first time. All went well with 1/2 hour flight ,all gages in the green, only one minor problem with a slightly heavy right wing. I didn't fly N443DM, being non current but I found an experienced Kitfox pilot to do the 1st flight as well as the 40 hrs phase 1.

Once the 40 hour test phase is complete I have an instructor that will instruct me in my airplane which I think is the way to go..

Way to go, Dan! It's a great feeling, isn't it, seeing your bird
finally fly? That was the case with my 'fox, as I wasn't even a pilot
yet, and had to enlist others to fly the 40 off. I got a guy who
didn't even have a Kitfox in his "resume" but he knew what he was
doing, and after the 40 was history, he completed my training in
it....and the skies haven't been safe for others since. : )

Dan, Congrats. I'm ready for airworthyness inspection and also have an experienced pilot to fly my plane. All I need for private license is checkride. What's your location? Nice to post that. I have met a couple of local KF pilots by posting my location.

Dan,

Congrats on the first flight. It's certainly an accomplishment to be proud of! May you have many years of fun, safe, flying.
