Pat,
Yes your friend called but I haven't had time yet to respond. I just learned this afternoon that the 5's windshield and the other part behind this are two pieces. Only need to replace the rear section.
Thanks for your info and response.

My sight gages also show a lot of fuel when in fact there isn't. Is there a fix to this ploblem so there can be relied on?

Pat,
Wish I had one of those on my Kitfox5 when I my plane ran out of fuel with both sides showing 3/4 of fuel.
Little off topic but am replacing windshield and side windows. Does anyone know what thickness on the windshield and the side windows I should be using? Also what type of material should I use? Will one sheet 4x8 cover both of these?
Thanks,
LeRoy

Bob, many of the sight gauges on Kitfoxes have a small nylon restrictor in the bottom part that has a tiny hole in it to allow fuel through. It's purpose is to dampen large fuel level fluctuations during turbulence. If you have these, it's possible they may be plugged. Easy to check. I removed mine as I found that they weren't necessary. That was seven years ago and I haven't found any reason to replace them.

All the fuel upgrades were completed yesterday...including remounting the engine after the Alternator Drive Coupling replacement. The mods to the fuel system seem to have taken care of the problem. I will post a few pictures as soon as I find the camera!

KFer's., I can't speak of Murle's product quality, but I would like to vouch for his customer support. He sent $600 worth of Poly Fiber covering product to me with an invoice, no deposit, prior payment or prior business transaction.

Check out Highwing LLC. They also have a sensor and have a better quality reputation than Murle.

I'm curious about this comment, Guy.  Are you aware of quality issues with Murle's parts?
