Yesterday was so calm.
About 5 miles from the airport I released the control stick and flew hands off back to the airport (rudder only). I flew part of the pattern and did a touch and go after grabbing the control stick on base.
Next time I flew a wider pattern using rudder and throttle only, I descended to about 10 feet agl and then had to use the stick as I was crabbed.
Found this interesting as I had read quite the contrary about Kolb stability.
I enjoy Mythbusters.

The FSII that I am currently rebuilding - N582EF - had a bit of dihedral in it & would fly hands off very well, rudder was all you needed to herd it around. I think it is the MKIII that is the contrary varmint, mine certainly won't fly hands off. Don't know about the Firefly or Kolbra.
