Hello All
Just bought a Kitfox model 1 #23.
Had to put new engine in it, 503/ with Hegar cog belt drive,GCS 68" prop, set at 8 degrees. When we did the test flight it makes a noise like a helicopter wah, wah, wah, wah.
Was wondering if anyone had experienced this , and if so could tell me what it might be.
Thanks

That's the typical noise a belt drive makes, especially if the reduction ratio is anywhere near 2:1; what's yours? Some of the Hegar redrives had serious problems, like the belt tension adjustment letting go leaving the pilot without a fan to keep him cool.
