Thanks, Pat. The only thing that comes to mind with that arrangement is that my stab is the symmetrical airfoil shape, not flat like the 1/2/3. I wonder if they would still be placed the same, but that is probably something for the manufacturer to answer.
Good luck with your inspection. Being it's the FAA it should be a piece of cake. They're generally just interested in the paperwork.

I found a 3/4" Clear plastic Miller Corner Guard at Lowes for about $3-$4 for an 8' piece. One piece will do 48 +/- VG's and it's already bent into a 90.
