They mowed their grass, but the dog was loose trying to herd me after I landed. Wink

very nice video. Good thing the plane is a pusher (and the dog a herder)
Whenever I saw a dog in a tractor I immediately shut down so he wouldn't try to bite the prop.

I like that clip. Beautiful approach through a pine thicket. A nice Kolb
approach, steep and gentle.

I'll be back in the air in a few days. Haven't flown since last July.

You are very welcome Gene and John,

Words can't express the wonderful feelings we have for our mentor Homer, his people, the place, and dreams he made come true.

Crystal,

Sorry to high-jack your thread. Your nice video of the collie herding you on landing reminded me of Marcus' collie, Steel, whirling under the toy copter.

All the best,
Dave

No problem Dave. It's all related. Besides, I had never seen that video and it looked like there was a Mark II like mine hanging from the roof in that hanger. Pretty neat!

Got a call from my hanger partner...told me I now have a flat tire. Sad Oh well, gives me a good excuse to start my annual inspection early this month.

Don't know if you noticed me revving the engine just as I was passing in front of the camera. Lately after landing I have to rev it a couple times to get to actually go back to idle (it wants to stay running).

Christal, You might want to double check that your carb slides are both closing freely and properly. A friend had a cable failure resulting in a surprise landing. Turned out OK but...

That is a TwinStar like yours hanging in the Kolb hanger.

In this picture from original sales sheet I'm driving with Marcus as co-pilot. In the Kolb Co. meeting to decide the name of this second version of the TwinStar, I suggested MK II inspired by Homer's young son Marcus' initials - MK. Time sure flies when you're havein fun flyin.

Cheers,
Dave
