Mine did the same thing... Set it for gallons per hour instead of liters per hour. I thought I had done that when I first installed it, but I guess it did not "take" I went through the setup again and she works perfect!

I would suspect your sending unit is defective ,as mine was. Mine shot craps in about 8 months. Disassembly of the sending unit(with a hammer ) revealed a cheap misaligned impeller,that had worn off one of the sides thus giving inaccurate readings and then finally,none. I have a replacement sender(warranty) coming but they are behind in their orders.(many months) After looking on the net,I believe failures of these sending units are fairly common.
If I ever get mine working again,I will just use it as a reference for bouncing fuel gauges as it has never been very accurate or easy to adjust.It just beeps and the digits don't change without constantly pushing the buttons. I guess you get what you pay for.

Leonard is right. I had forgotten but mine did that too. It just swapped over to liters all by itself and my readings were also bad. I did the reset and until it crapped out,it was back in the ballpark.

THANKS ALL.....
I will double check the settings. (I thought I had it set on Gal/Hr). the sender is a new replacement working with the old guage. I did find a funny loop/bend in the fuel line near the transducer that I will remove this week and also install the new guage (just in case the new transducer and guage both have both changed 'as a matched system' over the last 2 years.

Hi all.
I just went to the hanger and looked at the F210. I do not know how but it got set to lit/hr. I reset it to gal/hr and will double it later this week when I get a chance to fly. I have added this to my preflight checklist.

Both units I have in the boat and airplane did that, but only on the first setup. After having to reset the fist time, they have both worked flawlessly for me.

Still getting very high readings. 20GPH for 582. Last 1 hr flight only REALLY burned 6 gal. Double check rate indicator.
Anybody have a problem with air in the line to get crazy reading. I have a new/replacement sensor.
Any other ideas?

OK...found out today that the F210 seems to reset to liters after engine shutdown. It seems fine when I reset it to gal/hr before each flight. Just made it part of my pre-flight checklist.

WONDERING if I isolated the F210 during start up if it would work OK..voltage/current spike during start up/shut down???

Hmm, I have an F210 and it does not reset itself on power off. Do you also loose your trip meter? Gals used, Gal Left? Mine was initially set to liters when new.

Mine does not reset, but then I never turn it on until after engine
is started.

Good info, I have had mine for a bout 4 years and over 1400 hours of flight time so it gone through over 7000 gallons or 30,000 litres of gas.

I use litres as it give a finer ready anyhow. I litre is close to a US quart.

I burn 18 to 21 litres per hour in cruise and 28 to 31 litres /hour wide open throttle.
