Due to forecast COLD & WINDY weekend, I suggest we re-schedule for next Saturday-1-9-2010 (at) 5NC3. Anyone who feels like an Eskimo can say 'hi' to Roland & the staff if they go this wkend. Cheers...Reno Red

Runway freshly snowed-in here, buddy. Plus we're headed to DC to see The Screwtape Letters in the theater Saturday. Hope we can be part of the next Carthage swarm.

So is the one week delay the consensus?
2 of us from the SC Upstate were planning to fly over for lunch in a
RV-6A. We were planning to brave the cold and make it. We just need
to know.

After looking at the FAY TAF for the early morning hours on Saturday
(the forecast is only valid until 7 AM at this time), the wind will be
a factor. The TAF says that wind gusts could reach 22 knots (and is
only 7 AM!). Another forecast for the FAY area that I saw says that
wind could be gusting in the afternoon.
I will wait for new TAF's to come out later today to make the call.

Below is the latest TAF for FAY. As you can see, it will be windy
(and mostly likely rather turbulent). Jan 9th is looking better.
Does that sound like a plan to most?
