Additional serial numbers added to the 2008 ECI Cylinder AD:

Well, only one of mine is affected… my next closest is less than 30 serial numbers after the AD ones..
So, is ECI covering any of this?
I’ll look into this more when I get my plane back from the paint shop (going on Sunday there… )
PS.. How come yours are affected? Didn’t you get your engine relatively recently (well after I got mine)??

All four of my cylinders match the PN & SN's. It was built about a year ago.
Not really sure what to expect. I have a email into Mahlon. I *think* ECI will cover new parts, but labor is at my expense. At this point I don't really know tho....
Where are you having your plane painted?

If you get the parts covered by ECI.... DIY labor is free J
Going to Tuscaloosa to Bobby Potts.. he does a great job from what I saw so far..

DIY or any other shop will likely complicate future warranty claims if I have to go back to Mattituck for work. Complicated speculation.... I'll find out more next week. Either way it's an unexpected PITA. --
