Nick
Installed the oversized struts about a month ago. These were made 3/16 inch or .1875 larger at lower portion of taper. Found to be slightly too stiff and could feel the tires absorbing more than they should.
Removed struts again and machined 1/2 of oversize off. Now strut is 3/32 inch or .09375 oversized Of course all shimmy is removed even with 3/32 oversized. I have bounced it about 5 ft (at) 100 over gross and spar box is fine. Think I will leave it this way, it sure has a confident feel with no shimmy.
Of course you remember I have an Esqual not a Lightning

Hi Dave, my Esqual also sits on Lightning gear legs, I'm interested in
the questions that you gave the answer for?
Ta, Clive
