I'm just about ready to order the material for the sub panels to carry the instruments in the panel molding. Any guidance on material specification and thickness would be helpful
Regards
David

My panel is built from .063" aluminum. Very ridged and light weight.
Available at sign suppliers.

What about Carbon fiber sheeting. You will have a ready made finish if you like the carbon fiber look.

This might not help if you're in the UK, but for US or Canadian builders it might be helpful.
I got my aluminum sheet at

I plan to cover it in the carbon fiber vinyl wrap material, forget what it's called but it gives a CF look and comes in lots of colors.

Mine is carbon fibre sheet - as a "sub panel" that holds all the instruments and can be removed without taking the whole panel assembly off. Looks very good with its almost holographic weave effect, is very light and very strong. Also have carbon fibre sheet on the panel cover between the seats (I do not have finger brakes).
I would recommend it if you can get some with a good polished finish.

Hi
Thanks for all the information regarding the instrument panel and brake fluid. Not finally made my mind up which way to go yet but a least I am better informed.
