Is there any external visual indication that a 14p has been converted to a pf? Logbook does not have any such entry but engine gets 410hp on a dyno....

Yes, whose dyno? The external physical indication is the manifold pressure will be about 40" or so. A stock M14P develops about 35" of manifold pressure.

No there is no external indication other than the data plate. If it was converted from a “P” to a “PF” or was built originally as a “PF” it should be stamped on the data plate. The log book should also show the model number. Engine test page should also show the higher HP.

Hi George:
Your information is true if it has been done at the factory. But, we did recently had an M14 here that had been converted to a PF “in the field” with no log book entry as to the conversion at all. It was converted back to a P after the supercharger failed. Unless it was done by the factory or somewhere like Termikas, I don’t think there’s anyone running them on a dyno . . . . yet!
