Larry,
Thanks for reporting on this, nice to see you're being so systematic about
the tests. I don't have EGT's yet (but will soon) but I get 190 water temp
and 220 oil temp at 4800 rpm cruise, and 200/230 when WOT and/or climbing.
I was never clear on what a good oil temp is for the Stratus especially
because of the unique temp probe location in the pan. It just seems lower
is better for the long-term health of the engine. I'd love to find an old
beater subaru car and mount an oil temp sensor in the pan to see what it
runs at in the car. I think I'll keep an eye out for one.
I never changed any jets after having RAM do the heads and you guys have me
wondering. I guess I need to do some tests. I did swap out the foam air
filters for K&N's so I'd better check soon.

Yes I would!
If you have the bing manual you can check it pretty easily...Tie the
airplane to a post and run it up to cruise.
I believe you pull open the choke levers (I have a primer so I had to
tie a pair of long lengths of safety wire to each lever) a little and
the rpms should rise a little and then drop when the mixture is
correct...if the RPMs don't rise its to weak.
This is from memory but it is something like that.
If you have the Ram heads you are almost certainly running way to weak.
