After 30 years of commercial flying and several controller “malfunctions”,  I’d say they’re excellent 98% of the time… enough to lull a pilot into a sense of complacency.  Always listen to what’s happening in your situational awareness field  and keep a running visual of that in your head.  It’s saved me (and the controller’s job) several times.  Trust, but verify and “Whew!”  Great graphics and thanks for reminding us.
