All, I have seen this part put on 2 different ways.



1 - Between the floor skin and 7F8-1 (Central Floor Stiffener) (as per the assembly guide)



2 - Between the firewall and the floor skin



Any advantages to either one?

My 4th hand kit was like #2 but I switched it to #1. Two  thoughts:

  

 1. the plans (if you look close) and the photo guide show  it this way

  

 2. Some piece of sheet metal has to span a gap. I felt it  was better to have the stiffener span the gap than the  floor.
