Using a Grand Rapids EIS, with the red cube fuel transducer. The instructions recommend installing it after the pump, but Im planning on installing the pump on my firewall... Why cant I install my transducer in the cockpit between the gascolator and the firewall penetration? Space on my firewall is running low and as much as I don't like adding fittings in the cockpit, I don't like the transducer anywhere near the muffler since it will be difficult to firesleeve.

I have an HD with Jabiru and Grand Rapids. My gascolator is on the lower
right engine side of the firewall. Have never had a vapor lock problem
there. I installed the flow sensor between the fuel filter (after the
gascolator) and the engine. I then mounted the sensor to an engine
mount strut. Readings are normal, no interference with fuel flow and the
fuel line is going ito the carb anyways.

Interesting that you did not use the transducer from Grand Rapid. Is the fuel flow software already included in the basic EIS or is it an option that comes with the transducer?
