Anybody flying using cat whisker nav antenna ?Has anyone mounted it on the deck between the empennage and the tailcone?What was your experience ,does it work well in this area?Any other locations work well for a retrofit?Thanks-Jim

FWIW I have an archer nav antenna in the tip with splitter for GS/Loc/Vor and it works great...plus doesn't poke out your eye. YMMV of course

I have a Comant CI 182 (IIRC) mounted in the top cap of my VS in my 6A. The coax runs down inside the forward part of the skin in front of the VS fwd spar.

Works great.
