Corvair guys, I'm about ready to get the starter, but my NAPA guy is having a hard time coming up with a part number. When I asked for an 86 or 87 Subaru starter, manual transmission, his computer couldn't come up with a part number. Does anybody have the appropriate part number? Just about any parts house's number will do, they can be cross-referenced from one book to another.

Autozone part number 16887 is a subaru starter with the correct rotation for a front mounted starter on the corvair. $104 without a core.
