Denny and John, Here's a shot of my fix for the amazing disappearing / reappearing trim tab. This change brought the bell crank up to what was being offered in 2006 when I bought a set of plans from TNK to support Zulu Delta, fuselage ser. no. 043. The tang is from a 1974 Eipper FlexiFlier 19.

Thanks Rick,
I'll leave mine alone for now but will definitly be checking for slack in the elevator when I have a passenger and a lot of trim pulled in. I like the idea of having the back up elevator cable on the trim lever.

Denny, You won't feel it, at least I didn't. I saw it when I had the plane in the hangar for some work. I got to wondering what that piece of cable was doing lying on the floor of the boom tube. Turned out to be the rudder cable made slack by the trim cable. I checked the plans and found the difference. When I inquired here, no one could recall the long trim cable, then. The tang solution was just waiting to be found in the scrap drawer. Anyway, I don't know what it got me other than compliance with the current state of the design.
