Thanks for sharing your mystery solving skills with us.
I guess better a CHT wire than a Mag wire.......or something else.

I'm chasing down a EI fuel gauge, right tank, intermittent off /on reading on my capacitance system now. Tank good, converter good, unit sent back to EI for checkout, next thing is to change factory wiring harness!!  Big PITA.

Answered my own question with a trip to the GRT website - they sell replacement screw-in bayonet probe adapters for 5 bucks.  I'll be good to go when the mail runs later this week.

Bob - don't you hate electrical gremlins?  They're the worst sort.

Almost done with my annual... new strobe head for the belly, replace a worn alternator mounting bolt, lash up the FWF wiring with fresh zip-ties, repair bottom damage to a wheel pant (I hate fiberglass work!) and repack the wheel bearings... and we're GTG.


OUR FLY-IN IS ON FOR JUNE 26th!
