I've looked at the VAF forums for egt probe locations as my Dynon manual gives a broad range. I was going to settle for 3 inches as that seemed like a good compromise between shorter life of the probe at 2" and slower change at 4". I noticed there was a flyer however that had his at 2.75 inches from the flange and they burnt off, maybe too lean? maybe an issue with Dynon probes?
So my question- I know EI has a 1.5-2 inch range in their probes so I think there is a difference in probes and who makes them. Anyone with Dynon provided probes have any issues of longetivity? and where did you position them in reference to the flange?
Thanks
Pascal
