Hi fellow yakkers. I am a BA pilot stranded in Washington by the ash cloud. Unless the politicians make some decisions, I'm likely to be here until the end of the week.
I would like to use my time here usefully, and to that end would like to do some refresher flying on a T6. I hope to fly a friend's YAK 11 sometime later this summer, and would like to do some air and pattern work on a T6 to get used to the increased weight and inertia, having largely flown Yak50s for the last 10 years.
To this end, is anyone aware of a T6 operation in the DC/Baltimore/Philly area that I could hire with a CFI for some training?
Thanks guys.

Thanks Doc, I'd dearly love to. My airline are however running this as a rolling 24 hour cancellation, so I can drive an hour or two, but need to be fairly close for any (unlikely) recall.

Just wish the FAA was in charge of this situation, not a bunch of dithering eurocrats.

Tater came up empty but Hollywood may know a guy at Manasas, Virginia that
may still be T 6 check outs. He was bringing the B-25 back from Wright
Patterson AFB today. He said he would have to get it from his office
tomorrow morning.

Hi Mark

The UK politicians are spouting more hot air than the unpronounceable
Eyjafjallokull volcano............

The volcano we can trust............

Good luck with the T6 stuff...... And getting back.
