Gang,

The Vholdr is the best budget HD camera, for sure. Data Toys makes the best full feature system I've seen. We are a dealer for DT and will give discount pricing to our Red Star brethren. I'm currently putting a 5 camera system in my CJ (only records 4 channels, but I'll have 5 mounts), with two audio inputs, cockpit monitor, and telemetry...should be fun!

Happy Flying,

Barry

The Vholder cameras are toys....plain and simple. They are NOT built to handle the rigors of airplanes.

I would recommend the VIO POV.15. The thing was built to milspec standards and is solid as a rock.

We use the shit out of ours all over the helicopter and could not be happier. I own a Vholdr and never use it....

Two camera heads available; 110 and 70 degree FOV.

The POV is NOT HD but the quality is good.

Some video we shot on a recent gun shoot. Make sure you watch it at 720P

Worth the money...especially when you get them for dealer cost! Wish I had one when I had my -50.

UPDATE:

The issue with my camera was related to my MAC computer. If the deleted files from the camera card are not also removed from the trash bin the card will still show full.

I used a 10 dollar swivel shoe adapter and epoxied a 4mm SS screw to one end, removed a screw from my wing tip, and screwed in the camera mount. I did not have the guts to trust the suction cup mount set up.

It's an inexpensive camera that can be used for plenty of other activities.
