Hello kitfoxers

I am getting reading to install a new IVO IFA two blade on a speedster with a 912 and would really appreciate some help. The instructions are telling me to install some spacer washer in front and behind the cam for proper 912 rpm. Run the engine and see if I got lucky and installed the right amount of washers in the right location. If not, dismantle, move washers reinstall and try running the engine again and repeat until correct.
This all sounds like a bunch of trial and error which might not be required if someone out there already has the set up correct. If someone can tell me what the right amount of washers are in front and back I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks
Brian

I never bothered with that. I tried it on my old prop and found that the washers will eat away at the threads on the shaft and you wont be able to get full pitch range. I just set mine up with a teflon washer on each side so it wont bottom out and stick. I set the max RPM on the ground runup then bump it here and there in the air or on roll out to keep the RPM and EGTS right where I want them.
