I've been using Kitlog so my friends and family could follow my very slow build. I've recently purchased a new computer and reloaded the software and the backup file from my old computer to the new one. The problem is, I can't seem to update the online version. It says that it connects, but after hours, never finishes. New computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium if that makes any difference. I've emailed support but it's a holiday and I thought maybe someone here had some experience. I'm not much of an IT guy so I need a little help.

I don't know the answer, but I'm sure Matt Dralle, who owns KitLog and
so generously provides this list, and participates here, either knows
precisely what you need, or knows who on his staff does.

Have you tried running in windows xp compatibility mode?

Paul, sounds like a firewall problem. Check settings in Windows Firewall:

Start button -> Control Panel -> Windows Firewall

I use Windows 7 Home Premium and use Kitlog with no problems.

What should the firewall settings be? Remember, I'm not to much of an IT guy. I still believe in phones with cords connected to them.
