Robin noticed, so to head off rabid speculation, we installed in our airplane a Magnum ballistic parachute system. The chutes (2) and rocket (1) live on the starboard side of the baggage compartment and fire through the roof. Two riser cables lead from there along the sides to brackets on the spar at the wing roots, while one cable goes over the top to a bracket at the nose gear/motor mount interface.
It only probably added a year to the project to engineer and install that . . .
