Further Specific Lighting Query

IF (please note this is a conditional conjunction) we kept the current BoomBeamâ„¢ system and offered TWO systems at Oshkosh. Our current system at a reduced price of say $600 and our new system at $1399. Who would be interested in which?
I'm not going to do a sales pitch here. The new system is a new technology HID with 65% more light volume. There are other features like low weight, smaller, etc but that's for another discussion.

I just want to measure interest. I'll start a list of names. If it gets to be a long list, i'll offer the reduced price. At the least it will tell me where to concentrate our efforts. Lemme know.

$1400 would buy a new Transponder. or JPI with fuel flow. or new plastic interior. or a 406 ELT.

OR ....1400 one dollar meals at MickeyD's. I can't argue about the dollars. It just depends upon what's important to you. So far we have four guys who want the existing system AND four guys who want the high output system. I'm not certain yet what that means. I could make up an explaination that sounds good, but I think I'll wait until all the data is in....

Just got the JPI with fuel flow as part of my annual. $1400 doesn't
even cover the cost of parts.
But it seems to be a fair value for the cost.

Unfortumately, the finance committee says that's it for planned
improvements for this year (at least till she forgets...)

I would go with the old system at the reduced price. It would be a substantial safety upgrade for the price.
