Hi All,
If you are planning to go to Oshkosh this next week, you might stop at the MT Propeller booth. It's normally in Hnagar "B".
MT Propeller usually offers an "Oshkosh Special" price. Normally a 10% discount, IF YOU ASK FOR A DISCOUNT.
Unfortunately, I won't be there this year. I only have 22.6 hours of the 40 hours required onmy aircraft (HR2 type aircraft).
And I am still having issues with oil temperature (high in the green arc) and fuel pressure (low without the electric pump on).
Of course, this is while I'm trying to get the piston rings seated while running full throttle at 4,500' and 5,500'.

I wish I had a lot of spare dollars. I'd attend all of these flying events.

Hi Jim
I've broken in several sets of new rings and always had high oil temps several hours in until the rings are set.
I've been flight testing the cut down prop. I have an hour and a half worth of data at my usual race parameters and find RPMs from 2650 to 2850 give speeds either 1 knot. There may have been a slight increase in top speed but it's hard to tell. I'm seeing 148TAS at 4500DA where I used to see 152
So far I think I've proven to myself that this prop currently maxs out at around 2650 RPM and increasing RPM doesn't seem to increase speed
I hate to think of all the trouble it is to reinstall he old blades. But the data is tending to say to me to go that way.....

Gary,
You know me. Always experimenting.
I hate how Matronics doesn't let you reply to an individual. My email wasn't meant for the list. All I can say now is that it's always fun to try new things on the Tiger.....
