I have a Kitfox 1 and recently ground looped into a tree. The right
wing was badly damaged and will need replacing along with the flaperone
hinges and propeller damaged. the fusalage and left wing are good. I
want to know if anyone would have a ballpark guess of how much this
would cost to repair providing I do the wing fabric myself and purchase
the wing and have someone tare the engine apart. If this is too
costly, How much could I get if I sold it as is? (ballpark)

Jerry, that would be a big ball park. If you have to buy all new parts to build a new wing I would make an educated guess of $3500. if you can find a used wing and/or salvage parts from your damaged wing it could be considerably less.

Having the engine torn down and inspected would't be too much if their is no damage. I guess about $300.

Jerry,  After I sent this message, I remembered about another set of Kitfox 1 wings I heard about out in Idaho.  It will take me a bit of digging to get then number in Idaho, so let me kinow if things don't work out with Bret's wings and I will track down the Idaho #.  Take care,  Jim Chuk  Avids, Kitfox 4 (building)  Mn

I have a friend who is about to part out a 582 KFIII. It was flying up until 3 or 4 yrs. ago and stored inside. All the parts you need ! He probably would make you a deal. PM me if interested and I'll put you in touch.

The Kitfox 1 and 3 wing strut attach point is in a different spot.  Kitfox 3 struts are longer.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but....  Jim Chuk  Avids,  Kitfox 4 (building)   Mn
