Nick, are there any special arrangements being made for the Oct 2 - 5 in shellbyville? Do you have suggestions on where to stay? If you give us some phone numbers it would be appricated.

.ExternalClass .ecxhmmessage P {padding:0px;} .ExternalClass body.ecxhmmessage {font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma;} Nick - Can you provide me with a few details.  I have a business trip to Houston the first week of Oct and I am considering dropping by if the timing and logistics are not too difficult.  I would need to catch a flight to Houston on Sunday the 3rd but I could be there all day Saturday and maybe get that long awaited demo ride.

Tex and All,

I will get some numbers for you guys. The Country hearth is nice in town, not the cheapest but closest to stuff in town. Also we have a Super 8 and a Days inn I think. Will get the numbers for you.

Nick,

Suggest that you include the Knight's Inn and Ramada in Murphreesboro. They have been the cheapest around and the rooms are OK.

If staying for a full week the Crestwood Suites-Murfreesboroā€ˇ has a weekly rate of less than $250. It includes a kitchen, free internet and long distance calls.

I stayed there last december and the room was clean and quiet.

I'm flying 3-4 times a week and I now fly the Lightning just as well as I used to fly my Cessna 150.

Yesterday I went practicing touch and goes with crosswinds of 10 G 15. The lightning is much more stable in turbulence than what I used to fly. It is also much more responsive, so when I stopped over-correcting it all became quite easy.

I am very happy with this great airplane,

Janin

Also, the Lightning Homecoming/Open House is Saturday 2, October. Many people show up on Friday and we'll cook out that evening, but the "official" date is 2 October.

One place that our customers have stayed in is the Ramada Inn in Murfreesboro. The address is 1855 S. Church Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Phone (615) 896-5080. The hotel is approximately 25 minutes from the airport. It's a straight shot on Hwy 231 from the airport (S. Church is Hwy 231).

The rates were reasonable (less than Country Hearth) with a free breakfast every morning.
