A friend recently adjusted throttle linkages on the cockpit side of the firewall in his Corvus/Jabiru 3300 and found he lost RPM from 3000 to 2400RPM at WOT.

He says he has readjusted so that the Bing is now fully up against the wide-open stop, but still can't get above 2400RPM (measured on both his Dynon D180 and a handheld RPM counter).

Anyone else had a similar experience ? Jabiru Australia haven't yet been able to come up with an answer on this one

thanks

Peter

How does the engine perform at part throttle? Does RPM go down from part throttle to full? Was the engine sitting unused before the change in linkage was made? Have you checked the float bowl for contamination, cleaned main jet and passage, looked for gunk on needle jet and jet needle? Have you checked the carb boot for damage or degradation?
