Somehow, I punched some buttons wrong on the EIS so now I have a mess. It''s on my FS II with 503DCDI.

I am hoping someone has programming instructions they would email me. I would be eternally grateful.

My unit is about 11 yrs. old and has the TWO plugs in the back. Instructions for the newer unit with ONE plug do not work. GRT claims they no longer support that unit and don't have the instructions [???]. My alternative is to buy a new one.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

i have the complete instructions for the Model "eis-3-adv-w / 912 Dual Aux" serial 8819 sw ver 5.8
if your version or model is different,,,, you may want to let us know exactly what you have,,,,

i could copy or scan the document... i am not sure how it compairs to your unit... but it does have the 2, 9 pin sub D connectors.

i am not sure what you are looking at but this may help

the "check Entries" message will be displayed immediately after power up if the eis determines that any user entry ( including all limits, such as rpm, and all configuration data, such as emp setting, aux sf, etc) may be lost or is incomplete. when this message is displayed, press the display key ( the key below the "next" label on the screen). the eis will force you to review all entries by taking you to the set limits and configuration set pages. carefully review and correct any entries as necessary.

Note this message will be generatged if any user entry is changed, and the instrument is turned off before returning to the normal display pages. this message then serves a reminder that you were in the process of setting user entries when the instrument is last turned off.

if this message appears frequently, this is most likely due to the instrument getting poor quality electrical power, this is most common if the instrument is on while engaging an electric starter, or if it is turned on before the engine is started in airplanes without batteries.

the only other things that i could see while reading the manual is if there had been an incorect voltage applied to the inputs of the unit... voltages should normaly be between 0 and 5 volts. with a caution theat the input must not exceed 5.5 volts,,,,, although no damage wil laccur, the accuracy of other functions in the instrument will be severely reduced while this input exceeds 6.0 volts.

hope this helps

I think this is the info you want. I have the whole manual if you need it. Let me know. I've separated into 3 pdf file to keep file sizes small. Hope this helps

Why not contact Sandy at Grand Rapids Technologies.

At this time they do not have them on their web site under the support tab. Sure they would email it to you where you can print it out. Excellent units by the way and an excellent company with exceptional service.
I am a repeat customer.

I called Sandy and she said they no longer have info on my 11 year old unit. Defies logic.........

Just read what you sent. The 2 things I messed up were the Altimeter, which is not in your instructions, also the Princeton capacitive fuel sensor on Aux 1. I think I will try GRT one more time....
